Safeguarding

Keeping children safe is our number one priority.

Safeguarding arrangements at Weston-on-Trent C. of E. (Aided) Primary School are underpinned by three key principles:

- Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility: all Staff, Governors and Volunteers play their full part in keeping our children safe.

- Weston-on-Trent C. of E. (Aided) Primary School operates a child-centred approach: a clear understanding of the needs, wishes, views and voices of children.

- All Staff, Governors and Volunteers have a clear understanding regarding abuse and neglect in all forms; including how to identify, respond and report. This also includes knowledge in the process for allegations against professionals.  All staff and governors undertook safeguarding training in September 2019.

The school's Headteacher, Sarah Burns, is the Designated Safeguarding Lead. If you have any concerns please contact her immediately. If she is not available, Miss Edwards is the Deputy Safeguarding Lead.

Ms Ayliffe is also the school's anti-bullying leader.

If you wish to see the original, signed copies of these policies please speak to the school office.

The school's Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is: Amy Edwards.
