We’re reaching out to introduce ourselves at Derbyshire Parent Carer Voice (DPCV) and to welcome you to the PINS project (Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools) at your child’s school.
At DPCV, our mission is to support and empower parents in advocating for the inclusion of neurodiversity in schools. We are committed to a co-production approach that is trauma-informed and sensitive to the lived experiences of families.
Our goal is to amplify your voice in your child’s education, ensuring that your needs and perspectives are heard and respected. At DPCV, we strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space where you can be open and honest with us. We are here to support you in meeting your child’s unique needs and are dedicated to standing with you every step of the way.
As part of the PINS project, we are also here to support school SENCOs in empowering them to better assist neurodiverse students. We aim to find effective ways to make the best use of available resources and encourage collaboration between parents and educators, fostering an environment where every child can thrive.
Your PINS lead, Sadaf Thould, will be your primary point of contact through this project. Sadaf will hear and support you during this process.

Firstly, apologies for the confusion regarding the previously planned SEND coffee morning. We had set up a booking system (like parent's evening for the morning) but for some reason the message was not sent out.
We have rescheduled the event for Thursday 11th July 2024. Following feedback from some parents we will have a get together in the hall from 9am until 10am. If any parents would then like to meet me 1:1 they can email senco@westoncofe.derbyshire.sch.uk and we can arrange a time to meet.
Please find our latest OFSTED report. We are delighted to be able to share our final report with you which we are very proud of. Please click on the link below for the report
We have been visited by the fantastic poet Paul Cookson, who has performed some of his hilarious poems and helped us write our own! After school, he will be selling some of his books at the school entrance for £3 each or 2 for £5. Thank you to the PSFA who have paid for this visit
Today is National Poetry Day! It is the annual mass celebration on the first Thursday of October every year that encourages everyone to make, experience and share poetry with family and friends. This year, we come together because voices, words and stories help to bridge understanding in our community at Weston. We will be holding a poetry recital today in recognition of this day.
Please take the opportunity to share a poem with your children today!
