Visit by Matt Goodfellow

The children (and staff) were very excited to host a visit by Matt Goodfellow this month.

He was very funny as well as inspiring for the children. His poetry dealt with lots of challenging ideas and issues but in a very approachable and entertaining way. Matt talked to the children about their feelings and how to maintain good mental health.

This resonated with work we have done recently in school with the appointment of a mental health first aider (Miss Hemsley) and staff mental health training with Nina Jackson just before half term.
