Letters and Useful Information

SATS Companion

The year 6s will have regular weekly homework which will support their learning of our topics in school. This will prepare them for what’s to come in secondary school and start to get into the habit of meeting small deadlines.

The children have already engaged with SATs Companion and most homework will be set there. Please contac the office if you are having any issues with logging in.

Walking Home Consent

We are aware that as part of transition to secondary school, parents like to encourage independence by letting their child walk home or to meet you outside the school grounds.

⭐It is very important you talk through your child what to do if for any reason you were not at a meeting point eg return to school

⭐If your child requires their phone for walking home/to meeting point, these are to handed in to the office for safe keeping during the day and not kept in bags.

✔We do need you to complete the walk home consent form so we have a record of the children that are allowed to do this.

Reading Spine

Our learning every half-term is underpinned by high-quality books. These will supplement the children's learning in order to deepen their understanding of topics. These books are purposeful and hand-picked by teachers at Weston.
