National Science Week

We have celebrated National Science Week across the school and seen such amazing learning!๐ฌ
Eagles class have been learning about the circulatory system. Today’s focus was ‘What is blood?’ and they did an experiment to show how red and white blood cells travel around the body in plasma. ๐งช๐จ๐ฝ๐ฌ
Kingfishers have started Science Week by looking at their class project where they are aiming to make and investigate… a catapult! We look forward to seeing these!
Starlings class went to Forest School and made models of the digestive system. It was lots of fun, but pretty disgusting seeing Weetabix being digested! The children recalled the names of the organs and it was an excellent activity for reinforcing the sequence of digestion. Well done Starlings!
Woodpeckers experiment today was all about which soils are the most absorbent! This is especially important currently with the amount of flooding that has happened recently.
We have loved to see all the classes enjoy and embrace their learning this week.
