Weston on Trent Primary School Nursery, aims to provide a high-quality early years experience for children at the very start of their learning journey.

Our aim is to offer a stimulating, nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn, explore and grow.

Our teacher-led provision, supported by a highly skilled and experienced team, ensures that children benefit from carefully planned, exciting learning opportunities that help them to make the best possible start to their education.

Starting Nursery

Children can join our nursery from the term after they turn three (September, January or April intakes).

15-hour Funded Places

5 morning sessions

4 extended morning sessions (includes lunchtime)

2 full day sessions and a morning session

30-hour Funded Places

5 full day sessions

*Full-time places are 32.5 hours a week. Additional costs where appropriate, above funded hours

Wraparound Care

We provide wraparound care to support working families:

• Morning Club (7:30am – 8:45am, including breakfast): £6.50
• After School Club until 4:30pm: £5
• After School Club until 5:30pm (including snack): £11.50

Funding and Costs

We offer both 15-hour and 30-hour funded places.

Additional costs are:

• £6 per additional hour above funded sessions 
• School lunch: £3.25 (or children may bring a packed lunch)

Uniform

The children in nursery don't have to wear uniform, but they are welcome to should they wish. They will need wellies and outside coats as we go out in all weathers! Muddy puddles are our favourite!

Key Information

• Drop-off time is between 8:45am – 9.00am. 
• Please ensure your child brings a bag to school daily with a spare change of clothes.
• We have a forest school session every morning. Please ensure we have a set of wellies or outdoor boots for this and a coat.
• Children will have fresh water available each day. Please send a plastic, named cup to school. Children will be encouraged to fill their cup and drink water throughout the day.
• Free fruit and milk is provided for the children as snack
• PE will take place each Thursday with our sports coach.
• We visit the school library each week. Children can choose a book to bring home to share to encourage reading for pleasure.
