Safeguarding

Keeping children safe is our number one priority.

Safeguarding arrangements at Weston-on-Trent C. of E. (Aided) Primary School are underpinned by three key principles:

- Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility: all Staff, Governors and Volunteers play their full part in keeping our children safe.

- Weston-on-Trent C. of E. (Aided) Primary School operates a child-centred approach: a clear understanding of the needs, wishes, views and voices of children.

- All Staff, Governors and Volunteers have a clear understanding regarding abuse and neglect in all forms; including how to identify, respond and report. This also includes knowledge in the process for allegations against professionals.  All staff and governors undertook safeguarding training in December 2016.

The school's Headteacher, Ben O'Connell, is the Designated Safeguarding Lead. If you have any concerns please contact him immediately.

The school's Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is: Sarah Burns.

Mrs. Burns is also the school's anti-bullying leader.

If you have any concerns then please speak to Mrs. Burns.
