Normally,with a significant date such as this Friday approaching, we would talk to the children about what is in the news. We would look at how people display the British Values of:
Rule of law
Tolerance of different cultures and religions
are represented in the events and behaviour discussed.
We would also seek out role models from whom we can all learn; Captain Tom Moore is a fantastic role model.
I am sharing some of the resources which we would usually use so that you can talk to your children about these events and about our current value of forgiveness.
I had also intended to talk to the children about Gandhi:
Gandhi said, “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
