Here at Weston, we are very excited about the Golden Mile. When the weather permits, we have all the children participating. The children run laps of the field and receive a band for each lap. Their laps can then be counted and the data inputted to the Golden Mile programme. This means that we can share with the children how far they have managed to run and they can set themselves targets to beat their previous Personal Best.
We can also find out how far the children have run cumulatively.
As the Tokyo Olympics approach, look out for our related Golden Mile challenges.
As our data shows, we are measurably improving the fitness of the children. It is also good to see that our children are fitter than is typical for their age group.
