Tuesday 26th May
This activity involves hiding random objects under a tea towel or in a box with a blanket over the top and encouraging your child to use their senses (in particular touch) to guess what it is. If you don’t have some way of covering the objects then you could use a scarf to blindfold your child instead. This is another fun and exciting game for you child which is helping them practice using all of their senses and encouraging them to stay focused throughout. It doesn’t matter whether they get them right or wrong – it’s all about staying present by focusing on the object.
You could try very easily identifiable objects such as a banana or a spoon or something a bit more tricky like a leaf or pine cone. Throughout the activity ask your child to use all of their senses.
We would love to see a picture of your child taking part.
