These are truly exceptional times, during which the role of schools in supporting families in a variety of ways has come to the fore. This page is designed to help you to access the key information to support your child's learning and well-being during challenging times. We also communicate regularly via letters that are posted on the home page of the website.
During the Coronavirus outbreak, we are having periods of remote learning. Our policy and class information will explain how we are working in more detail. Mrs Burns is the senior member of staff responsible for remote learning. If you have any concerns or queries regarding your child's access to remote learning, please contact her via the email@example.com email address.
Every child in school has his or her own Microsoft 365 Education password and can access their class Teams account in order to download and to submit work. The children can also attend regular catch-up sessions with their class teachers. We are facilitating 1:1 meetings and small group meetings as appropriate and are continuing our nurture work remotely where this is practicable.
We are aware of how isolating lockdown can be and have a tab where we can share video messages with the children to keep in touch and a mindfulness tab with ideas for keeping calm at a very stressful time. Collective Worship can be accessed on our Church School tab. We are also holding a weekly whole school Collective Worship, invitations to which are shared via class emails.
If your child is entitled to free school meals and is not in school, we will talk to you about collecting a box of food for them. If you are not able to collect the box, we will deliver them. If you need more data to access the remote learning, we have free SIM cards available, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help with this. Similarly, if you do not have suitable devices available, please inform me and we will help you with this.
If your child is coming in to school and receives a positive test result outside school hours, please inform us at email@example.com
Unfortunately, during the national lockdown, we are not able to run the usual before and after school clubs for the children who are attending school.
Below is a folder entitled 'help and support', in it you will find sources of emotional and practical support at a very unusual and challenging time.
